A respected public sector organisation in Huddersfield is seeking an Interim General Practice Surveyor to support its Property & Estates team during a period of increased workload. This is a key interim role with a strong focus on landlord and tenant matters, lease and licence management, and day-to-day property management across a varied operational and investment portfolio.
This assignment offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor to make an immediate impact, improve processes, and help maintain statutory and commercial compliance across the estate.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on landlord and tenant work including rent reviews, lease renewals, re-gears, assignments, and dilapidations.
- Prepare, negotiate, and complete leases, licences, wayleaves, easements, and other property agreements.
- Undertake property inspections, ensuring assets are managed effectively and safely.
- Provide valuation, acquisition, and disposal advice as required.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external partners, and professional advisers.
- Maintain accurate property records and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
- MRICS qualified or with equivalent professional experience.
- Strong background in general practice or estate management, ideally within the public sector or a similarly regulated environment.
- Proven experience in landlord & tenant negotiations and managing leases and licences.
- Confident working autonomously and delivering outcomes at pace.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and report-writing skills.
