Our client in London is a NHS Trust with a large, diverse estate. They are seeking a permanent Compliance Manager – Water & Ventilation, a crucial role ensuring that the Trust is compliant with legal and statutory requirements for all Water & Ventilation service provision. The successful candidate will provide effective compliance and performance services, setting and supporting the performance measurement agenda, ensuring the compliance needs of statutory and mandatory requirements are measured and met to agreed deadlines.
Key Responsibilities include:
- You will be the Trust’s lead expert for Water & Ventilation compliance, providing expert professional advice on all current legislation.
- You will be responsible for communicating complex and sensitive or contentious service-related information to wider staffing groups.
- You will support the head of service with the development of a compliance and assurance hard services strategy (aligned to Trust’s strategy) and deliver the successful strategy to improve compliance and assurance performance across all sites.
- You will continually improve reporting systems in order to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
- This may require innovative and new ways of delivering services, which may conflict with traditional thinking and opinions.
- You will pro-actively monitor compliance metrics and identify trends for remedial and/or improvement programmes to enhance Trust compliance and assurance performance.
- You will act as emergency manager during major incidents, for recovery planning purposes.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional experience with developing water and ventilation compliance and assurance strategies, followed by implementation. You will have substantial experience operating in a hard services role in estates and facilities and be fully conversant with the statutory and legal requirements that impacts on building owners and occupiers. You will have a strong track record leading and managing water and ventilation compliance within a healthcare setting, with proven ability ensuring that appropriate systems are in place to identify, clarify and ensure water and ventilation compliance is effectively managed in line with current legislation, mandatory requirements, codes of conduct and good practice. You will be educated to Degree level within hard services management (Master’s Degree is desired) and be registered with a recognised professional body.
This is a permanent opportunity, offering an annual salary of £70,387 - £80,465, depending on experience.
