We are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team and support the daily transport and logistics operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily transport activities to support project and site requirements.
- Plan and schedule vehicle movements and driver assignments.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
- Maintain accurate transport records, logs, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety standards.
- Support the management of vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy.
- Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and associated transport costs.
- Respond quickly to transport issues to minimize operational disruptions.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a transport or logistics coordination role.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask.
- Strong knowledge of relevant transport legislation and H&S standards.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and transport systems.
- Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Fleet management system knowledge.
- CPC qualification (advantageous but not essential).
