An organisation with a complex operational estate is seeking an Interim Transport Manager to manage and stabilise its transport services during an interim period. The role sits within a wider estates and operations environment and involves overseeing a mixed transport model, including external providers and an in-house vehicle fleet. The interim will ensure services for the users are safe, compliant, well-coordinated and supported by strong administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities- Managing day-to-day transport operations, including vehicle and driver scheduling
- Overseeing contractors and service providers, ensuring performance, compliance and value for money
- Maintaining transport-related compliance, documentation and statutory records
- Coordinating fleet maintenance, inspections and safety checks
- Acting as a key liaison point between estates, operations teams and external partners
- Implementing and maintaining clear processes, controls and reporting to support service continuity
You will bring strong operational and administrative experience, with the ability to manage complex services, contractors and compliance requirements. You will be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable acting as the operational coordinator for a critical service.
