Interim Procurement Manager

Location: South East (Hybrid)

Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract Length: 3–6 months

MRG is seeking an experienced Interim Procurement Manager to support a busy procurement function within a social housing organisation in the South East. This is a hands-on role leading end-to-end procurement activity, working closely with stakeholders to deliver compliant, value-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver procurement projects across a range of categories
  • Manage full tender processes, from specification development through to contract award
  • Work with internal stakeholders to shape procurement strategies and ensure alignment with organisational objectives
  • Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and internal governance requirements
  • Drive value for money through effective supplier engagement, benchmarking, and contract arrangements
  • Provide expert procurement and commercial advice across the business

Essential Requirements

  • Recent procurement experience within a housing association or social housing environment
  • Proven experience managing procurement projects through established frameworks
  • Hands-on experience running compliant tender processes in line with PCR 2015 and/or the Procurement Act 2023
  • Ability to independently lead complex procurement activity from end to end
