About the client

The Management Recruitment Group is seeking an Interim Head of Projects to lead on estate development and capital projects on behalf of a prestigious public sector estate in Northamptonshire.

Accountabilities

• Lead the delivery of capital projects including adaptations, refurbishments and large-scale maintenance and construction, estate development schemes
• Lead the delivery of small works and hard FM
• Management of external contractors and consultancies
• Management of multi-disciplinary teams as well as a diverse range of stakeholders
• Lead project teams
• Management of budgets, project financial controls, procurement activities and programme governance
• Ensure projects are carried out on time, to the required standards and within budget

Candidate Requirements

• Ideally MCIOB or working towards
• Recognised project management qualification such as MAPM
• Proven experience in a similar position within a large and complex estates management team
• Project management experience, client-side ideally within the public sector
• Experience leading capital projects and construction programmes
• Proven experience at head of service level or above
• Able to start at short notice
• Willing to travel to Northamptonshire as required
