MRG is seeking an Interim Capital Programme Manager for a specialist, healthcare property provider in London, that delivers large-scale capital, development and estates programme across multiple acute healthcare sites. A key focus of the post is to ensure robust delivery of approved capital schemes alongside clear prioritisation and effective management of constrained resources. The Interim Capital Programme Manager will take responsibility for delivering a live capital programme of approximately £30m–£40m per annum across two major hospital sites. This is a delivery‑focused role, providing additional senior leadership capacity to oversee multiple concurrent capital schemes and ensure strong grip on cost, programme, risk and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a defined capital programme across multiple acute healthcare sites
- Be accountable for cost, programme, risk and quality across a portfolio of concurrent schemes
- Oversee and coordinate a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, ensuring consistent standards of delivery and performance
- Provide clear programme governance, reporting and assurance
- Manage interfaces with clinical, operational, estates and finance stakeholders
- Support prioritisation decisions and scheme sequencing within approved funding envelopes
- Resolve programme‑level issues and escalate risks where required
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare capital, governance and assurance requirements
