Imperial College London is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join its Real Estate Team within the Property Division, based at the White City Campus in London. Imperial College London is a world-leading university for science, technology, engineering, medicine and business (STEMB), where scientific imagination leads to world-changing impact. Imperial manages one of the most complex and diverse estates in the UK Higher Education sector. The College’s operational, commercial, residential, and investment assets require a robust and forward-thinking approach to contracts, procurement, and professional services to support Imperial’s strategic ambitions.
Over the next 6–12 months, Imperial will embark on a substantial programme of retendering and awarding key service provider contracts across the Property Division portfolio. These include rating, valuation, service charge management and wider professional estate services—many of which support assets held for investment return and liquidity. Ensuring contractual rigour, compliance, and performance will be vital.
As Senior Contracts Manager, you will lead the development, roll-out and continual improvement of a contracting framework that supports excellence, drives value, and underpins Imperial’s operational and strategic decision-making. You will act as the day-to-day lead for contract management, negotiations, reviews, and due diligence processes, working closely with Procurement, external advisers, and specialist colleagues across the Property Division.
The role calls for demonstrable senior-level experience in complex contract development, negotiation, monitoring, and third-party risk management. Experience of working within multifaceted stakeholder environments and an understanding of public-sector or Government estate frameworks would be advantageous.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence a major programme of contracts at a pivotal moment for Imperial. If you excel in complex environments, enjoy strengthening processes, and want to support a world-class university in delivering long-term value, this role provides the perfect setting.
Imperial is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We are proud to be an Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder, a Stonewall Diversity Champion, and a Disability Confident Employer.
