Interim Estates Lead
Location: London
Contract length: 3 months (in the first instance)
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week, with flexibility regarding the days worked
Rate: c. Β£300 per day
We're supporting a well-known London-based cultural organisation in the search for an experienced Interim Estates Lead to provide leadership across a diverse estate which includes a significant listed building.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can quickly build credibility, bring structure and drive positive change across estates and facilities operations.
You'll lead an established team, ensuring the estate is safe, compliant and operating effectively, whilst helping to shift the focus from reactive maintenance towards a more planned and preventative approach. You'll also be responsible for embedding clear processes, improving ways of working and providing high-quality reporting and updates to senior leadership and the Board.
Operating within a creative, public-facing environment, you'll be comfortable balancing operational priorities with the needs of a busy arts, entertainment and charitable organisation. You'll be able to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and understand the unique demands that come with supporting spaces used by artists, audiences, staff and volunteers.
We're keen to hear from individuals who offer:
- Significant estates and facilities management leadership experience
- Experience managing historic and/or listed buildings
- A calm, measured and confident leadership style
- The ability to embed process and improve operational standards
- A track record of driving preventative maintenance strategies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience producing and presenting Board-level reports
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a unique and highly regarded organisation.
The expectation is that the successful candidate will start early to mid-November, so you will need to be available at this time.
