You will be the welcoming face of our hotel, providing exceptional guest service that creates lasting memories. With a people-first focus, you will proactively anticipate and address guest needs, ensuring their complete satisfaction. You will partner seamlessly with colleagues to deliver a consistently high level of service, upholding our organisational values. Drawing on your expertise, you will contribute to maximising room revenue while maintaining integrity in all interactions.

The successful candidate will be required to work 22.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extend a warm and welcoming greeting to all guests upon arrival, efficiently managing check-in, issuing keys, and providing engaging explanations of hotel facilities.
  • Demonstrate expertise by possessing comprehensive knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and special promotions, proactively sharing this information with guests to enhance their stay and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Anticipate guest needs whenever possible, attentively addressing all written and spoken requests with courtesy and helpfulness, ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate guest check-outs, prioritising guest satisfaction and proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Demonstrate expertise in operating all hotel front office systems efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel availability and actively pursue opportunities to maximise room sales.
  • Answer calls and handle inquiries efficiently and in accordance with company policy, ensuring effective message taking and communication.
  • Ensure the accurate verification of the handed-over float.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the local area, including history, points of interest, and special events, enabling you to provide valuable information and recommendations to guests.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions with integrity, strictly adhering to hotel and company policies, and immediately reporting any discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of all charges to guest accounts, following standard procedures to maintain complete and accurate guest folios.
  • Handle all guest messages with integrity, ensuring accurate and prompt delivery while adhering to GDPR procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, working effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless guest service and efficient operations.
