As a Food and Beverage Assistant you will be responsible for serving and ensuring the wellbeing of our guests within the Bar and Restaurant, demonstrating a strong people first approach. You will complete all preparation and service of the Restaurant to the highest standards and in keeping with the specifications and systems set by the Restaurant Manager to keep our service consistent, upholding integrity and operational expertise. You'll ensure that we are compliant with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene by following any systems shown to you, maintaining a safe environment and adhering to Integrity.

Key Accountabilities

  • To be responsible for the service and wellbeing of our guests, demonstrating a commitment to People First through exceptional hospitality.
  • To assist in the set up and closedown of the Restaurant, showcasing expertise in operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all orders are taken accurately and items are received in a timely manner, upholding Integrity through reliable and precise service.
  • To support the team in ensuring the efficient, and effective running of the service, adopting a collaborative partnership to achieve seamless operations.
  • Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of a high standard, and is in line with the standards set, demonstrating expertise in maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Serve guests to the highest standard whilst keeping the guests expectations at the forefront of your mind, delivering people first customer service that prioritises their satisfaction.
  • To keep your mise en place levels up to the required level whilst rotating stock, demonstrating expertise in stock management and preparation.
  • Be mindful of waste, always seek help to utilise all stock and minimise waste, demonstrating Integrity in responsible resource management.
  • Report any faults or defects as you see them, ensuring operational Integrity and safety through proactive communication.
  • Maintain a high standard of Restaurant and back of house cleanliness and hygiene practices, upholding Integrity and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Ensure that you are correctly dressed in your uniform, presenting a professional people first image that represents the hotel.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel, fostering Partnership through effective communication and collaboration.
  • To show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary, demonstrating Partnership through flexibility and a team-oriented approach.
  • Ensure that while you undertake your role you abide by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and safe system of work appropriate to your role, upholding Integrity by maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Any other tasks as delegated by your Line Manager, demonstrating Partnership through a supportive and adaptable attitude.
