Hybrid – 2 to 3 days in Central London office, remainder WFH
Duration: June 2025 – January 2026 (4 to 5 days/week depending on workload)

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Systems Project Manager to lead the implementation of a key finance systems project within a religious organisation. This role reports directly to the Assistant Director of Finance (Project Sponsor) and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering critical systems improvements within a well-established organisation.

About the Role:
As the Finance Systems Project Manager , you will take full ownership of the planning and execution of a complex finance system implementation. The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in delivering finance systems projects, with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and technical project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and acceptance criteria.
  2. Lead and motivate the finance project team to meet delivery goals.
  3. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders on progress and challenges.
  4. Manage project resources efficiently, ensuring delivery within budget and timescales.
  5. Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  6. Track and control project costs, timelines, and deliverables.
  7. Ensure all outputs meet required quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  8. Liaise with system suppliers and internal teams, developing excellent customer relationships.
  9. Compile and submit regular project updates and reports.
  10. Design and manage user training and UAT.
  11. Oversee project closure and successful handover.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Member of the Association of Project Management (APM) or equivalent, with strong credentials.
  2. Proven experience delivering finance system projects end-to-end.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  4. Membership of a professional accountancy body is desirable (e.g., ACCA, ICA, CIMA).
