Our client is a fast‑growth recruitment and consulting business operating within the technology, AI and transformations space. Since launching just a few years ago, the business has enjoyed impressive growth and built an outstanding reputation within its market. With a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture and a team of intelligent, high‑performing professionals, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where you’ll play a key role within the operations function.

We’re seeking a Payroll & Compliance Coordinator to join the business on a 15‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave. This is a broad and varied role supporting contractor lifecycle from onboarding through to payroll, invoicing and compliance. Working closely with the CFO and wider operations team, you’ll help ensure contractors, clients and consultants are supported efficiently while maintaining robust compliance and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

  • Managing contractor onboarding and compliance checks
  • Producing contracts, compliance documentation and client terms
  • Processing contractor placements through Bullhorn
  • Administering weekly and monthly contractor payroll
  • Managing timesheets, expenses and self‑billing processes
  • Raising client invoices for both permanent and contract placements
  • Supporting supplier payments and employee expenses
  • Credit control and debt management
  • Producing operational reports and contractor data
  • Supporting the CFO and external accountants with finance‑related queries

You

You may currently be working as a Payroll Coordinator, Compliance Coordinator, Contractor Care Coordinator, Recruitment Operations Coordinator, Finance & Compliance Assistant or other similar role. We’re particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience within a recruitment, staffing or contractor‑led environment
  • Exposure to contractor onboarding, payroll administration, compliance and invoicing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence building relationships with contractors, clients and internal stakeholders
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to pick up the phone when needed
  • Experience using Bullhorn and/or RSM in Time would be highly advantageous, although training can be provided
