About The Role

This is a Permanent Part-Time position, 25 hours per week, working to a set roster. You must be available to work all rostered shifts and be confident working independently, as each shift is worked in isolation with the support of a small remote team. As a Support Worker in our SIL homes, you will provide high-quality, person-centred supports that promote independence, empowerment, and positive daily living outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care supports
  • Supporting activities of daily living such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and household tasks
  • Transporting participants in your personal vehicle or a Mai-Wel vehicle
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies
  • Working independently to deliver consistent, safe, and responsive support
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation

Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in disability support or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, including Borderline Personality Disorder
  • Confidence and capability to work independently within a small, remote-supported team
  • A commitment to person-centred practice and maintaining participant safety, dignity, and choice

Mandatory requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current Driver’s Licence & willingness to use own vehicle
  • Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
