About the Role

This position provides 1:1 supports delivered at SCCP Maitland and within the community. You will be supporting participants to build independence, engage in meaningful activities, and achieve their personal goals. You will also be required to travel to Cessnock to support existing participants, with the opportunity to add an ongoing Tuesday shift in Cessnock once additional new participants commence (timing to be confirmed). This role is suitable for someone who is confident working independently, adaptable, and committed to high-quality, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support both onsite (Maitland) and in the community
  • Deliver supports safely, professionally, and in line with participant NDIS goals
  • Assist with daily living activities, skill development and community access
  • Travel between Maitland and Cessnock as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold privacy and confidentiality
  • Work independently while remaining connected to the broader SCCP team

Skills and Experiences

  • Experience working independently and confident making sound decisions
  • Highly dependable, with strong communication and time-management skills
  • Experience in personal care (highly desirable)
  • Passionate about supporting people with disability to live their best life
  • Flexible and open to additional shifts as the program grows

Essential Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • First Aid & CPR (3 units)
  • Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
