The Mai-Wel Group has been providing a diverse range of disability services to residents of the Hunter Valley for over 60 years. What began as a group of local families coming together to provide education and opportunity to their children has grown into a thriving organization supporting more than 1,500 participants across seven Local Government areas.
We are seeking enthusiastic Casual Support Workers to join our dynamic team.
Skills and Experiences: What We’re Looking For- Social, Community and Creative Pathways (SCCP): Casual Day shifts available.
- Initial focus on SCCP with opportunities to engage with Community Living participants.
- SIL Homes - Must be able to do overnights and sleepovers.
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the varied needs of our participants.
- Available for casual work and able to cover shifts at short notice.
- Any experience is preferred at this stage.
- Providing high-quality support tailored to the needs and goals of participants.
- Assisting with daily living tasks, community engagement, and skill-building activities.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of participants at all times.
- Collaborating with the team to deliver person-centered support.
- Previous experience in disability support or similar roles (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- A valid Australian driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
