Manpower are currently seeking an interim Trade Marketing Executive (Ice Cream) to work with our global FMCG client, The Magnum Ice Cream Company, renowned for brands such as Magnum, Ben & Jerry's, Cornetto and Wall's. The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £47,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience. The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements. Travel will be required to customers across the UK, and candidates must have their own vehicle. Travel demands are particularly high in Q1.
As the Trade Marketing Executive, your purpose will be to support the Trade Marketing leads and together you will become the expert in both online and offline trade marketing. You will be pivotal in building our brand's presence through B2B customers, trade and wholesalers, working with the brand managers, sales managers, and customers to support and execute trade shows with best-in-class activations, experiences and communications which really add value to our brands, the business owner and the wholesaler/customer.
Key Responsibilities- Develop & execute the full year Trade marketing calendar.
- Effectively communicate promotions, core brands, new flavours and campaigns throughout the year.
- Work directly with wholesalers and execute trade media campaigns via traditional channels (Trade & wholesaler shows, events, brochures, print) and digital channels using DCOM, ensuring strong delivery against commercial objectives.
- Support Channel Marketing activity, including planning and execution of channel shows, trade events and customer activations to drive brand visibility, engagement and sales within key OOH channels.
- Continuously monitor performance of trade marketing activities, tracking KPIs and ROI, and optimise for better results whilst staying informed on competitor activity and market trends.
- Build strong relationships with Brand and Sales teams to ensure plans are commercially aligned and effectively delivered.
- Manage the artwork process with external agency to ensure campaigns are landed on time and in full, and explore opportunities to use AI when developing the artwork that result in efficiencies.
- Support budget management and contribute to forecasting and ROI tracking, ensuring trade investment is optimised to deliver against sales and growth targets.
- Must have experience in Trade, with a solid understanding of Trade and the B2B environment.
- Experience in Food Service or FMCG desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with a proven ability to prioritise effectively and deliver against timelines in a disciplined manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility & travelling to Trade shows and customer events.
- Must have access to own vehicle for travel.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation and influencing abilities.
- Proven experience working closely with customers, with a strong customer-centric mindset and focus on delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member, and an ability to form long lasting working relationships with a variety of people across all business functions.

- Strong commercial acumen, with proven ability to manage budgets effectively and drive value-focused decision making.

A canteen and a gym are available for use on the Ground Floor (with subscription). Facilities in the gym include cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines, spin bikes, free weights area, boxing equipment and a stretch/matted area. Classes are also available and can be booked directly with the Gym. Shower facilities are available in the changing rooms, along with hairdryers.
