Location: Kingston, London, UK – home based contract possible

Job Purpose: As Head of Commercial Operations, you will lead the functions that power the OOH Customer Development team—spanning end‑to‑end cabinet ordering, delivery, and in‑field management. The role also oversees the total UK field force across OOH and IH, as well as the operational delivery of the Ben & Jerry’s scooping business. With responsibility for a high‑performing team of 30+ colleagues across operational and executional functions, this role plays a pivotal part in enabling flawless execution and driving the Magnum Ice Cream Company’s growth ambitions in the UK. You will report directly to the Vice President, Customer Development (OOH).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting the vision and in‑year business goals for the commercial operations function that support the growth agenda.
  • Responsible for the delivery of in‑year goals.
  • Line management of 3 individuals heading up 3 sub‑functions, leading a total team of 30+ colleagues.
  • Effective management of 3 sub‑functions to ensure they all act in service of the business goals: Field Sales, Cabinet Operations, and Ben & Jerry’s scooping operations.
  • Stakeholder management of UK IH customer development VP, UK CFO, EUANZ OOH leadership team, global cabinets team & global B&J scooping team.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Minimum 10+ years in FMCG in operational or executional roles.
  • Impulse category experience preferable, specifically snacking/soft drinks.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership & people management of large teams (10+).
  • Strategic decision‑making and cross‑functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Experienced in building & executing new processes to improve effectiveness of delivery vs business goals & to increase accountability.
  • Operational background from supply chain or engineering preferable.
  • System/process transformation and project management preferable.
