Manpower are currently seeking an interim SHE Support, to work with our global FMCG client, The Magnum Ice Cream Company, renowned for brands such as Ben however, candidates with strong SHE experience gained within other manufacturing, engineering or operational environments will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities Act as the main TMICC safety and health contact at Colworth, providing practical support to employees, visitors and contractors.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring the site is prepared and resulting actions are completed.
Review SHE documentation, procedures and controls, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Create and maintain a safety inspection programme, ensuring actions are recorded and closed within agreed timescales.
Monitor and report safety performance and leading indicators, including audits and behavioural observations.
Promote a strong behavioural safety culture and encourage near-miss reporting.
Support PUWER compliance by ensuring equipment risk assessments, operating procedures and training records are current.
Oversee contractor safety and permit-to-work requirements.
Provide SHE metrics and updates for site leadership.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Support environmental compliance and reporting, including waste management and sustainability initiatives.
Help identify opportunities to reduce waste, water and electricity use.
Support the investigation and reporting of environmental incidents.
About You You will be a proactive SHE professional who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of operational safety priorities.
You will be equally confident providing hands-on support and completing the documentation and reporting required for compliance and audit readiness.
