This is an exciting time to be joining our Multi Academy Trust, which collectively educates over 4300 children and employs over 450 professionals. About the Role

The role is based at The County High School, Leftwich, which is a high performing, fully inclusive, co-educational, 11-16 school with approximately 1050 students, 60 teaching and 60 support staff. The school serves a mixed catchment area with a Published Admission Number of 210, and we are now significantly over-subscribed. We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our thriving, hardworking Science team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for effective planning and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring quality first teaching, monitoring assessments, recording and reporting. You will also perform the role of form tutor, if designated as such.

Your Responsibilities

  • Recent experience of teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 across the ability range
  • Knowledge of GCSE expectations in the subject area
  • PGCE and experience of continuing professional development
  • An enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning of your subject specialism
  • The ability to inspire students to reach their individual potential
