About the role:
The Account Executive supports their manager to ensure day-to-day media relations and campaigns are carried out efficiently - providing monitoring, reporting and administrative support to the team. This role involves writing content, event coordination, and building journalist relationships and is a time to further develop media and strategic skills. The Account Executive’s specific tasks will be very varied and will cover the whole PR and communication mix.
Key responsibilities include:
- Media Relations: Start to build relationships with travel writers, lifestyle editors, and consumer media outlets to secure coverage across print, digital, and broadcast.
- Content creation – write compelling content, pitches, briefing documents, newsletters and releases for the team, working closely with your manager, to bring clients’ brands to life.
- Understand all relevant media titles, editors and influencers in key markets.
- Help organise media events, and press trips, both individual and group including reservations and itineraries.
- Assist with event organisation, attend events to support the team and promote the client.
- Team support: Curate, collate and compile all reporting documents to ensure that they are kept fully informed of their progress.
- Draft agendas prior to client meetings / calls and submit all contact reports/minutes within 24 hours.
- On behalf of your team, monitor client assets – both written and visual, and update as necessary.
- Ensure press coverage is accurately scanned and sent to clients.
- Research any third-party information on behalf of clients and/or new business.
- Help to generate ideas, contributing to the success and smooth running of the individual client campaigns.
We are seeking:
- 12 months experience in a PR Agency, Marketing Agency or Events firm.
- A relevant undergraduate degree such as PR, journalism or English Literature is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in a second language, such as French or Spanish, would be useful but not essential.
- Ability to juggle multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with a strong ability to understand what to prioritise.
- Passionate about the travel, leisure and lifestyle luxury industry.
- Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal.
- A team player with great collaboration skills and will contribute willingly to the wider team goals.
- Creativity and enthusiasm: all ideas gratefully received and you demonstrate an interest in issues and areas beyond your immediate scope.
- Excellent attention to detail and are able to multi-task - working effectively under pressure.
