Since their opening in March 2023, both the Grill and Tavern have quickly become two of the most sought-after restaurants in the Cotswolds. These venues follow the remarkable success of James Martin’s culinary ventures at Chewton Glen in Hampshire, where his innovative menu at The Kitchen Restaurant & Cookery School has been a standout since its launch in 2017.

Role Overview: Chef de Partie

As a Chef de Partie, you will support the Head Chef in preparing dishes to the highest standards set by The Lygon Arms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef during each service, ensuring dishes meet the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with the chef’s brigade to serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
  • Liaise with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to suggest improvements on dishes and service.
  • Ensure the presentation, taste, texture, and quality of dishes are consistently maintained.
  • Lead by example within the brigade.

About You:

  • Experience at the Chef de Partie level is desirable.
  • Keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and confidence in team communication.
