Role Description

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at The Lygon Arms Hotel in Broadway. This role oversees day-to-day food and beverage operations across the hotel’s dining venues, ensuring high service standards and a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Responsibilities include supervising front-of-house team members, coordinating staff schedules, supporting training and development, and ensuring consistent implementation of service procedures. The supervisor will monitor quality and presentation of food and drinks, manage guest enquiries and feedback, and support smooth service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events. The role also involves close collaboration with kitchen and bar teams, maintaining health and safety and hygiene standards, and helping drive revenue through upselling and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, shift management, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
  • Proven ability to maintain and improve service standards, with a focus on attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
  • Practical experience in food service and beverage operations within a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly, professional approach to guest interaction and issue resolution.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations in a hospitality setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior front-of-house role; hospitality qualifications or training are an advantage.
