We are seeking a Spinning First Line Manager to join our Maydown team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating daily operations within their designated area, ensuring team performance aligns with production targets and safety standards. This role also plays a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and support the development of team members. This is a P&M Position on rotating shifts.
Responsibilities:- Training and development of employees within your team.
- Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring safe working practices are fostered within the team.
- Utilise methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to drive performance and achieve production and quality targets.
- Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving within the team.
- Performance Management for direct reports.
- EH&S performance and root cause investigations.
- Manage sickness and return to work for direct reports.
- Execution of the daily production and maintenance plans as defined.
- People planning and control of overtime.
- Safe execution of unplanned reactive maintenance.
- Hosting monthly meetings to communicate Company vision to direct reports.
- Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Verified competence and decision rights in safe work practices i.e. safe work permit issuer with energy control and energy control plan creator.
- Experience of troubleshooting and closing production gaps regarding quality, availability and yield.
- Demonstrated ability to train/mentor Technicians.
- Ability to motivate, challenge and influence others to achieve success.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours aligned to our Principles and Code of Conduct.
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- NEBOSH Certificate.
- NVQ Level 3 in Management.
- Previous experience working in a Spinning environment.
