The B2B Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the market and excellent communication skills.
What You Will Do
- Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Be responsible for the development of new business for the European Lubrizol Fluid Engineering business. Responsible for developing, researching and identifying potential clients, develop strategic approaches, and initiate contact. Develop business case for market entry into new markets. Develop business case for new products and offers. Prioritise business opportunities based upon business needs.
- Customer Road Map: Develop dedicated customer road map and development funnel.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue, through the development of new accounts.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats. Carry out strategic mapping of industrial adjacency space
- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Target customers and accounts that are suitable according to strategic incentives. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Deliver x new accounts the account and distribution team
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align strategies and enhance overall customer experience. Act as conduit between customers and Lubrizol to ensure trends are understood and reacted upon
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and progress towards goals.
- Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms for the company while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company’s products/services.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Experience: Recent, relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or related roles in a related industry (Heath Transfer, Industrial)
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and strategies in a relevant field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and identify new business opportunities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
