An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Food & Beverage Host to join the team at The Lowry Hotel, Manchester’s iconic five-star hotel. The Lowry Hotel’s service Brand Pillars of ‘Iconic’, ‘Individual’ and ‘intuitive’ service delivery are key attributes to all candidates for this role.
You will represent the hotel’s renowned service culture while ensuring all guests are greeted with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. As a host, you will be instrumental in managing guest flow, seating arrangements, and ensuring the overall guest experience runs smoothly in The River Restaurant (2 AA Rosettes).
As a Food & Beverage Host, you will welcome and seat guests in a professional and engaging manner, managing reservations and coordinating with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure a seamless flow of service. You will anticipate guest needs, assist with special requests, and provide informed guidance on menus, dietary requirements, and allergen information.
Working closely with your colleagues, you’ll help maintain a calm, organised atmosphere during busy periods, ensuring every guest enjoys a smooth and memorable dining experience that reflects The Lowry Hotel’s reputation for exceptional and intuitive service.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a busy restaurant environment. You should be familiar with restaurant booking systems such as OpenTable or ResDiary, and be comfortable handling guest enquiries and reservations in a professional manner. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You should be well-presented, organised, and proactive, with the ability to remain composed during busy periods.
This is a full-time role, and flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and late finishes is required.
