A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the team at The Lowry Hotel Manchester. We are expanding the sales team and hiring an experienced Sales Manager who will focus on the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference,and Exhibitions) segment.

To join this iconic dynamic team, we are seeking a talented individual. As the main point of contact for our clients, you will be responsible for generating leads and opportunities, identifying and qualifying them, and working with our sales team to convert the leads from exciting events and groups for our 5* hotel.
As The Lowry Hotels Sales Manager, your key-responsibilities will be:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across key markets and sectors.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with direct clients and booking agents.
- Deliver tailored presentations and proposals that highlight our unique offering.
- Negotiate and close deals to consistently exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery for clients.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market insights to maximise sales effectiveness.
Requirements of the successful Sales Manager:
- Create a solid pipeline drive and deliver new business in line with the hotel's strategic goals.
- Direct the strategic relationship of the hotels MICE preferred partners, agents and corporates with specific focus on maximizing market share, develop relationships, distribution opportunities and ancillary revenues.
- Support the team in re-negotiating annual rate agreements to ensure they strategically align with the goals of the hotel.
- Conduct research to identify new business opportunities through social media, trade shows, and market analysis. Follow up on lost and denied leads to uncover potential business.
- Collaborate with the sales office to convert local and national leads for groups and meetings. Provide sales support to the Director of Sales
- Deliver regular sales performance reports, track KPIs, and assess progress against targets. Analyse results and adjust strategies to meet objectives.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events to maintain and build on The Lowry Hotel brand and ensure the generation of new business opportunities.
- Hold site visits and client entertainment as required.
