This five star Lowry Hotel, Manchester is looking to recruit a Director of Finance.
With ACCA or comparable credentials, you will have relevant experience in a comparable role in the premium five-star industry. Strong leadership and communication abilities are crucial. You will report directly into the General Manager , You will also be responsible for team of 7 including stores. Your duties will entail.
- You will handle the finance operation, including both short- and long-term planning and management, while reporting directly to the hotel general manager and with a dotted line to the owners.
- As a member of the Hotel executive team, take part in overall hotel strategic management
- Oversee and direct the hotel's on-site accounting operations to guarantee sound financial management, prompt, accurate reporting, and analysis. Budgeting, accounting, cash management, and hotel financial planning are also included in this duty.
- Contribute to fostering the shareholders' relationships. In charge of overseeing and organising owner reporting as needed. Attend meetings, give personalised reports, and reply to enquiries or requests promptly.
- Complete the year-end audit procedure. Examine and accept all audit work papers and reconciliations. Organise the visits of the external auditor, reply to their enquiries, authorise modifications, match the audit and property numbers, and authorise the final audit.
- Compile and examine all yearly and monthly financial reports. Involve the department managers in the investigation, review, and analysis of the variance explanations. Take the effort to oversee troubleshooting for appropriate revenue enhancement and expense controls.
- Participate in the annual business plan preparation and final evaluation.
The successful candidate currently be working at Financial Controller level and experience of working in a hotel is also necessary. The candidate will also possess excellent computer skills, a methodical approach to working, produce work of a high standard of accuracy and be able to work to deadlines.
