The Lowland Bond is an excise warehouse in Fife, specializing in whisky cask maturation and bottling. The facility offers private accounts for individuals interested in owning whisky casks, catering to a range of connoisseurs and enthusiasts. With a focus on efficiency and quality, the company ensures samples and re‑gauges are completed and dispatched within 5 working days. We are committed to excellence in service and preserving the tradition of fine whisky craftsmanship.

We are looking for a full time Warehouse Technician to join our team at our cask maturation warehouse in Glenrothes. On the job training and career progression will be forthcoming as the business grows.

Location: Glenrothes (onsite)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, Day Shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual handling of casks
  • Cask warehouse operations such as re‑gauging, re‑racking and cask integrity inspection.
  • Accurate record keeping when filling and disgorging casks
  • To maximise the effective use of resources to carry out all warehouse operations in line with business goals and objectives
  • Maintain integrity and security of warehouse operations in accordance with H.M. Customs and Excise requirements
  • Dilution and calculation of spirit to achieve target ABV
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Use of a forklift to consolidate casks, pallets and IBCs.
  • Responsible for the handling of goods incoming and outbound.

Skillset:

  • Technical and hands‑on practical ability
  • Physically fit and able to manually handle full casks
  • Relevant forklift experience is preferable
  • Self‑motivated – ability to remain motivated when working by themselves
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and adhere to deadlines
  • High attention to detail, especially to quality standards and compliance systems
  • Ability to cope with change in a growing business

Personal Requirements:

  • Experience in a warehousing environment
  • Experience working logistically or manually with spirits is preferred
  • UK Driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Communicate effectively across business using a variety of communication mediums
