Sylvan Learning Center is dedicated to making learning personal and inspiring kids to thrive. We are looking for part-time Sylvan Instructors who will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and provided with the tools to teach in a small group, 4:1 setting.
We offer instruction in:
- Reading
- Writing
- Math
- Study Skills
- SAT/ACT Prep
- State exams
There is NO LESSON PLANNING required as our SylvanSync program handles that. As a part-time Instructor, you will need to be available for 4-20 hours per week, between the hours of 3:30-7:30 Monday-Thursday and Saturdays 9:00-1:00. You can inform us of your availability, and we will accommodate it.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering quality education using Sylvan-based programs
- Supervising, interacting with, and motivating students during instruction
- Rewarding students for completed assignments
- Evaluating and documenting student progress
- Communicating student needs to the center directors
Inspiring students:
- Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan
