We are looking for a Senior Public Relations Manager to drive strategic communications and media engagement for our financial services business. This role sits at the intersection of corporate communications, digital visibility, and financial industry expertise, requiring someone who can execute high-impact PR initiatives while ensuring content and media strategies contribute to both brand authority and search performance. You will play a key role in shaping brand perception, strengthening media relationships, and amplifying visibility across both traditional media and digital search ecosystems (SEO & GEO) in global and regional markets.
Key Responsibilities
- PR Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute annual and quarterly PR plans for assigned business lines or regions, ensuring communication objectives are achieved while aligning with organic search and discoverability goals.
- Media & KOL Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key vertical media, journalists, and industry KOLs. Plan and execute media outreach, content collaborations, and press engagements to maximize both coverage and search impact.
- Content Development & SEO Integration: Write and review press releases, executive speeches, and case studies, ensuring content is optimized for SEO/GEO. Lead the execution of key communication themes to effectively convey brand messaging.
- Crisis Communications Support: Monitor media and public sentiment, as well as search and AI surface signals. Support crisis response efforts by coordinating materials, messaging, and rapid-response content distribution across both PR and digital channels.
- Events & Campaign Support: Play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of major PR initiatives, including press conferences, industry forums, and CSR programs, ensuring integrated amplification across media, search, and owned channels.
- Agency Management & Performance Tracking: Manage external PR agencies, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Track and analyze performance across media coverage, producing post-campaign reports with actionable insights.
What We're Looking For
- Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, Chinese, Marketing, or related fields. 5–7 years of experience in corporate PR, agency, or financial media, with 1–2 years of team management experience. Prior experience in financial services PR or corporate communications is essential; experience working with global financial institutions or cross-border projects is highly preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading PR campaigns related to product launches, brand building, or reputation management, with measurable media impact (e.g., high-quality coverage, key message penetration), and ideally contributing to organic search growth.
- Digital & SEO/GEO Familiarity: Working understanding of SEO principles (keyword strategy, on-page optimization, backlink building) and familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), with the ability to align PR content with search and AI-driven discovery trends.
- Global Perspective: Experience supporting international brands or managing cross-regional PR initiatives. Familiarity with global media landscapes and ability to collaborate across time zones.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both English and Chinese, with strong media instincts and well-established media relationships, to effectively engage with media and internal stakeholders in English- and Chinese-speaking markets.
