We are a growing team of mental health professionals offering specialist psychological assessment and individualised therapy for adults, young people and children.

Our Child & Adolescence Services

  • Psychological assessment and individual therapy
  • Parenting support and interventions
  • Cognitive assessments of learning strengths and areas of difficulty, including identification of general intellectual/learning disability and specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia or Dyscalculia
  • Assessment and diagnosis of autism and ADHD in line with NICE guidelines
  • Assessment and therapeutic support for adoptive families and children living with a special guardianship order or in foster care
  • Perinatal and parent-infant therapeutic support
  • Expert Witness services across public and private law proceedings for the Family, Civil and Criminal Court
  • Group Therapies - opportunities for training in specific therapeutic models

The Role

We are seeking an associate Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with availability to provide psychological assessment and therapeutic services in person at our Berkhamsted Clinic. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with an interest in our child and adolescent service.

Job Specification

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent)
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., HCPC)
  • Experience in working with child mental health
  • Ability to work face-to-face in Berkhamsted, with a minimum of 4 sessions
  • Trained in evidence-based psychological therapy (such as CBT/ACT/CFT/EMDR/Systemic/Psychodynamic etc.)
  • Ability to work in a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming and culturally and racially sensitive way
