The Lost Gardens of Heligan is looking for an enthusiastic, personable and knowledgeable experienced chefs to join its team. The ideal candidates will have a background in food preparation and menu planning, be adept at managing a busy kitchen team and will have a passion for fresh, local ingredients and delivering to a consistent high standard.

The successful candidate will work across all Heligan’s restaurants and cafes, preparing delicious food for hundreds of thousands of visitors, as well as guests at weddings and corporate events. They will be an advocate for the Heligan food story, working closely with Heligan gardeners to incorporate fresh, seasonal produce from the productive gardens into the menus. They will also build strong relationships with local suppliers, help manage inventories and ordering and be exacting and uncompromising in their food safety and hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role and will be available to work varied hours, including some early mornings, evenings and weekends. This role is for seasonal hours, with the potential for permanent contracted hours dependent on experience. Heligan is a Living Wage employer.
