Experienced Front of House Team Member / Supervisor. . The Lord Southampton NW5 4HX. . £14 per hour + service charge (£2 - 4 per hour) . . Part-time / Full-time considered. . We’re looking for an experienced front of house person to join the team at The Lord Southampton.. . We’re an independent pub in NW5 with a strong focus on good food, proper drinks and genuinely warm, knowledgeable service. We’re looking for someone who has solid restaurant or food led experience, takes pride in looking after guests and is comfortable being hands‑on in service.. . This isn’t a senior management role, but we’re open to someone with more experience who is looking for a greater level of responsibility. Equally, if you’re an excellent restaurant team member who wants to develop into a supervisory role, we’d like to hear from you.. . The role. . You’ll be part of the core FOH team, working closely with us the owners and the rest of the team to keep service running smoothly.. .
You’ll be expected to:.
- Deliver friendly, attentive and knowledgeable table and bar service.
- Take responsibility for your section and your guests.
- Be confident working at pace during busy services.
- Support newer members of the team and help maintain standards.
- Open, close and keep on top of the general running of the pub.
- Work closely with the kitchen and FOH team throughout service.
- Take responsibility and use your initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.
What we’re looking for.
- Warm, personable and genuinely enjoys hospitality.
- Confident and capable during a busy service.
- Reliable, organised and able to take responsibility.
- Comfortable with both restaurant and pub-style service.
- Interested in food, drink and the hospitality industry.
- A good team player who is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
Pay & benefits. . £14 per hour + service charge, typically adding £2–4 per hour. . Typical total earnings: £16 - 18 per hour. . For the right candidate with greater experience or supervisory ability, we are happy to discuss a higher rate of pay.. . Usual hours : Tuesday : 15:00 - 00:00Wednesday : 15:00 - 00:00Thursday : 15:00 - 00:00Friday : 15:00 - 01:00Saturday : 11:00 - 01:00Sunday : 11:00 - 11:30(Occasionally events change the hours but this is a general week) . .
