Responsibilities
- Maintaining oversight of general ledger integrity, reconciliations, accounting adjustments, and judgmental areas.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and Group reporting standards, including audit support and coordination.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Supporting the production and submission of Syndicate financial returns to Lloyd’s and other relevant local regulators.
- Develop the Syndicate Financial Control Framework, including documentation of processes, risk and control matrices, and financial narratives.
- Driving continuous improvement in controls and governance.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post‑qualification experience within the Lloyd’s.
- Experience of working with underwriting and claims teams along with the policy and claims administration systems used.
- Experience with Oracle ERP is preferable.
- Provide support to the wider Syndicate CFO and wider Syndicate Finance teams as required to ensure that teams overall objectives are achieved.
