The role of Night F & B Chief Steward is to ensure the smooth running of the back‑of‑house operations during the night, alongside the Back‑of‑House Manager. Responsibility for the cleanliness of all cutlery, crockery and the overall upkeep of back‑of‑house stock levels, flagging any concerns to the Manager promptly. Receiving goods for the back‑of‑house area and thoroughly checking them before acceptance. Assisting with the training, coaching and development of F&B Stewards during the night, providing feedback to assess training effectiveness. Supporting the identification of training needs in the back‑of‑house area to give all team members opportunities for development and growth. Participating in health and safety audits alongside the Back‑of‑House Manager.
About You
- Current supervisory experience in back‑of‑house operations at a hotel or similar environment.
- Ability to proactively prioritise business needs to support and drive the back‑of‑house team.
- Working knowledge of hotel back‑of‑house areas to assist internal and external clients.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of current health and safety procedures and requirements in food and beverage.
- Minimum CIEH Level Two health and safety qualification.
