The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to support a range of estate development projects across its iconic central London campus portfolio. Founded in 1895, LSE has grown to become one of the foremost social science universities in the world. The LSE Estates Division is responsible for developing and delivering the Estates Strategy in support of the School’s strategic objectives. Improving the student experience lies at the heart of what we do.

We are focused on providing world‑class buildings and facilities and, through excellent customer service, ensuring the safe, secure, and environmentally sustainable operation of the School’s estate. The Estates Capital Development Team has enjoyed unprecedented success in recent years, delivering a number of acclaimed major projects and receiving multiple ‘Client of the Year’ accolades. Over the past decade, LSE has completed some of the most renowned university buildings in the UK.

The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in the delivery of this exciting programme. You will support Lead Project Managers in the delivery of refurbishment, fit‑out, and long‑term maintenance projects, while developing into a role where you can lead projects independently. You will have the opportunity to work across the LSE campus and residential estate, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

We are seeking an individual with demonstrable early-career experience in the construction industry, in a design, building surveying, or project management capacity, ideally with exposure to the delivery of refurbishment, reconfiguration, and fit‑out projects. You will have excellent organisational skills, with experience of using IT systems to support project coordination. Above all, we are looking for an individual with a high level of motivation, a flexible and proactive approach, and a strong aptitude to learn.
