Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 p.a. inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 p.a. inclusive of London allowance. Funding is available to support this post for 12 months initially, with possibility of extension (subject to funding). The start date is flexible from 1 July 2026, and no later than 1 September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support the Policy Hub of the Huth Initiative for a New Political Economy (HINPE) by managing and analysing data sets.
- Oversee projects, communicate with research authors, commission and edit articles, and manage meetings with external policy partners.
- Become an active participant in the research programme as part of the Policy Hub.
Qualifications
- Completed (or nearly completed) a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and/or a Master’s degree in economics, public policy, political science, or related discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant literatures and methods in economics and political economy.
- Proven experience analysing quantitative data using Python, R, or Stata, including data cleaning and statistical analysis.
- Strong understanding of UK public and economic policy through relevant academic, professional and/or applied experience.
- Writing will be a vital part of this role; a written assessment may be required if shortlisted for interview.
