This is a new role which will be responsible for providing pastoral support and guidance on academically related advice matters to around 320 students on the LLM programme, the main postgraduate programme in Law. The role will work with Professional Services colleagues to continuously develop and enhance the student experience and build community on the LLM programme. The role will involve producing reports and presentations to staff and students on themes and issues in the cohort and support provision. As this is a new post, there may be some changes to job duties, so the post-holder must be able to help shape the role and will need a flexible approach to working.

The post holder will work closely with the LLM Professional Services team, the Head of Programme Delivery and Academic Mentors. The post holder will share best practice with the Undergraduate Student Support and Advice Manager and colleagues in support roles across LSE.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience of student support and casework management, acting on their own initiative with limited supervision, and building and maintaining networks with a range of stakeholders. Experience of providing a consistently high standard of service to customers, strong written and oral communication, and experience of developing networks with internal and external contacts is essential. Experience of providing academic and pastoral advice to students within Higher Education will be an advantage.
