This is a full-time, permanent appointment.
The Ph D Academy provides specialist support for postgraduate research (PGR) students throughout their time at LSE.
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Manager to lead our Research Degrees Management service.
This is a varied role with responsibility for student records, casework, examinations, governance support and service improvement.
The successful candidate will lead a small team, contribute to the management of the Ph D Academy, and work closely with colleagues across the School to ensure the effective delivery of services for doctoral students and academic departments.
We are looking for an experienced higher education administrator who can combine strong operational management with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will have experience of managing student records and casework, leading staff, working with complex regulations and procedures, and using data and systems to support effective service delivery and continuous improvement.
The Ph D Academy provides in-person services Monday-Friday throughout the year.
Ph D Academy team members are the therefore required to spend 50% of their working days on campus, on a rota basis, plus a monthly ‘everyone in’ day.
Members of the Research Degrees Management team are also required to work on campus full-time during the Autumn term enrolment period.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery and development of a core service supporting LSE's postgraduate research community.
