The Department of Geography and Environment is seeking a full-time LSE Fellow in Economic Geography. This is a career development position, fixed term for two years, with a start date of September 2026. Salary: £43,277 to £51,714 per annum inclusive, with potential to progress to £55,497 per annum inclusive of London allowance.
An LSE Fellowship is intended to be an entry route to an academic career and is deemed by the School to be a career development position. Applicants who have already been employed as an LSE Fellow for three years in total are not eligible to apply.
The successful candidate will join one of the world’s leading geography and environment departments, with strong international student demand across graduate and undergraduate programmes. They will contribute to the administrative and teaching duties at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to the research profile by maintaining their own research programme and participating in research seminars and meetings.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Completed or close to completing a PhD in Economic Geography, Economics (or a related discipline), by the post start date.
- A very good knowledge of Economic Geography and Local Economic Development.
- A developing research record in Economic Geography and Local Economic Development.
- Relevant teaching and assessment experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in Economic Geography and/or related disciplines.
