Research and Innovation Division (R&I) aims to provide high quality support to LSE’s academics, students and alumni across all stages of the research lifecycle and ensure responsible research practice which complies with relevant regulations and operates with rigour and integrity.We are seeking to recruit a full time Strategy, People and Research Environment(SPRE) Officer to support LSE’s strategy and resources to facilitate world-leading research and enable impact with particular reference to the 2029 Research Excellence Framework (REF). The post-holder will gather and analyse evidence of LSE’s research environment to draft the School’s REF 2029 SPRE institutional-level statement and provide support to Departments in drafting their SPRE statements.Candidates should have some knowledge of REF 2029 and an awareness of and key deadlines and processes relating to REF2029. They should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to conduct desk-based research to collect evidence from a range of sources.We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities. LSE is a campus-based university and staff are expected to attend the London campus in fulfilling their role. Most staff balance working from the campus or remotely. For this particular role, the duties are such that we can offer flexible working patterns, while noting that many meetings will be held in person on campus.
