Overview

In this fixed-term role, you will lead safeguarding casework and help strengthen safeguarding policy and practice across LSE.

You will manage a caseload of safeguarding concerns, working independently while contributing to an interdisciplinary Student Wellbeing Service.

The role supports students and staff across the university and aligns with a project to review and enhance safeguarding provision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of safeguarding concerns with independence and integrity
  • Lead on safeguarding policy and practice development across the School
  • Support and shore up safeguarding procedures through the project initiative
  • Collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
  • Contribute to staff and student wellbeing through safeguarding initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with DBS checks and safeguarding standards
  • Represent safeguarding considerations in cross-functional teams
  • Key requirements
  • Significant safeguarding experience with under-18s and adults-at-risk
  • Experience in Higher Education, workplace counselling, or similar environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
