This is an exciting opportunity to join the LSE Human Resources Division which is organised into 3 broad teams: HR Partnering, HR Operations and HR Specialists (Policy, Organisational Learning, Pensions and Immigration Compliance). The HR Receptionist role is key to supporting the HR Operations team with day-to-day administrative tasks from Right to Work checks and processing interview expense claims through to issuing employer reference letters.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering an efficient, professional and courteous reception service to all customers, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Effectively managing and responding to a high volume of information requests and queries from external and internal customers, providing accurate and timely responses in line with expected standards of service.
  • Effectively undertaking Right to Work and visa checks for all staff, including checking passport and validity dates.
  • Dealing with the Division’s estates issues, being pro-active in reporting faults and problems and ensuring prompt resolution.

  • Excellent ability to understand and convey information in a clear, accurate and appropriate manner in all formats of communication.
  • Excellent ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload to meet short-, medium- and long-term deadlines.
  • Ability to sustain momentum and a positive approach in a pressurised environment.

For this role, we require the role holder to work from our LSE Campus five days per week and work 9am-5pm to facilitate in-person Right to Work checks. Precedence will be given to candidates who can start immediately after the selection process has been completed.
