The predicted salary is between 43277 - 51714 £ per year.

Salary from £43,277– £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance. Working pattern: Monday to Friday 09:30–17:30 = 35 hours weekly (1.0 FTE); 40 hours weekly including 1‑hour unpaid break. This is a fixed‑term appointment for 2 years with potential to extend subject to funding being available.

We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our Sustainability Team within the Estates Division. The role will lead the development and continual improvement of LSE's integrated compliance management framework across Environment, Energy, Quality and Health & Safety. The post will work closely with operational teams across Estates and Residences, building systems, audit infrastructure and assurance processes that underpin statutory obligations and sustainability commitments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in environmental, health & safety, quality or integrated compliance management, ideally within a large or complex organisation
  • Knowledge of relevant UK legislation and regulatory frameworks across environmental, energy and/or H&S domains
  • Experience of managing ISO management systems (14001, 50001 and/or 9001), including audit planning, legal registers and non‑conformance management
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to design practical frameworks that operational colleagues can use and own
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with a wide range of stakeholders and present compliance information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
