b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the Sociology Department’s communications, events and marketing efforts to raise the profile of its research and outputs. You’ll develop and deliver a multi-channel strategy, collaborate with academic leads, and manage a broad events programme. You will create engaging content, oversee the department’s website and social channels, and line-manage the Communications and Events Officer. This fixed-term post supports the department’s strategic plan and wider LSE priorities. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li occupational pension scheme /li li generous annual leave /li li hybrid working /li li excellent training and development opportunities /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Develop and implement the Department’s communications, events and marketing plan /li li Lead cross-functional collaboration with academic leads (e.g., LSE Human Rights, British Journal of Sociology) /li li Plan, manage and deliver a wide-ranging events programme /li li Execute a multi-channel communications strategy to reach diverse audiences /li li Produce AV and digital content using specialist software /li li Oversee and improve the Departmental website and social media channels /li li Line-manage the Communications and Events Officer /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Degree or equivalent work experience /li li Experience of managing and marketing a programme of events and communications strategies, preferably in Higher Education /li li Experience of video and podcast production /li li Experience sourcing and developing engaging, audience‑appropriate content /li li Excellent knowledge of digital platforms and their role in a wider strategy /li li Ability to build productive working relationships and contribute to team goals /li /ul ul li Relationship building /li li Collaborative working /li li Strategic thinking /li li Video production /li li Podcast production /li li Content creation for diverse audiences /li /ul
