LSE’s Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 10,000 staff and student users.

The Campus Support Manager is a key operational leadership role within Digital Technology Services (DTS), responsible for managing the Campus Support Team and Audio Visual (AV) services. Together, these teams provide dedicated, on-the-ground IT and AV support to staff and students across LSE, ensuring technology operates seamlessly to support the School's teaching, research, and administrative activities.

The postholder will lead and develop a diverse team comprising technical analysts, support officers, support technicians, apprentice technicians, AV technicians, and AV events specialists. Leadership responsibilities include setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews, supporting professional development, and fostering a collaborative team culture that encourages knowledge sharing between IT and AV specialisms. The Campus Support Manager will build and maintain strong relationships across LSE, acting as a key liaison for campus-based IT and AV services. The role requires a visible, engaged leader who balances operational delivery with strategic thinking, ensuring services are aligned with ITIL best practices and institutional priorities.

Candidates should have:

  • Experience managing or leading IT support teams in a customer-facing environment, with strong understanding of second-line IT support operations and service delivery.
  • Experience resolving a wide range of technical issues across hardware, software, and AV technologies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and their application in support environments, with proven ability to monitor service performance and use data to inform decisions.
