About the Role

We are recruiting for a new career‑track Assistant Professor in Political Science. Candidates should have strong research and teaching interests in empirical political science, with the potential to establish an international reputation in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach undergraduate courses and MSc topics in Conflict Studies and Comparative Politics, Global Politics, Political Economy, and Political Behaviour.
  • Conduct research yielding publications in leading generalist political science journals.
  • Participate in departmental activities, contributing to a collegial faculty environment.

Qualifications

  • PhD in political science or a closely related discipline by the start date.
  • Emerging record of research excellence in empirical political science (publications published or forthcoming).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience or strong potential for teaching both undergraduate and MSc students.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is no less than £68,087 per annum (salary scale available on the LSE website).
