Residential and Catering Services Division Assistant Bars Manager – LSE Catering (Campus)
Salary from £29,110 to £32,468 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £34,107 pa inclusive of London allowance. LSE is the world’s leading social science institution, which attracts students from across the globe. LSE Catering manages restaurants, cafés, bars and shops across campus and halls of residence, providing catering, retail and hospitality services to staff and students.
We have an exciting internal vacancy for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual to assist with managing our George IV pub. The role involves serving a wide range of drinks including cask ales, providing food, and creating a warm, friendly welcome for international students, staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Experience in a bar or pub environment
- Ability to deliver high levels of customer service in a high-volume environment
- Ability to assist with planning and organising the daily operation of the pub
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Ability to train, lead, motivate, and work with a team
Responsibilities
- Enjoy working within a team, consistently deliver excellent service and maintain high standards.
- Support the Bars Manager with daily operations, financial and stock management, and overall service quality.
- The position is usually centred on the George IV pub, but staff work flexibly and may be required to cover other LSE Catering facilities.
- Working hours vary and may involve early mornings, evenings and weekends, with straight shifts over an average 35-hour week.
