LSE’s Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 10,000 staff and student users.
The AI Strategic Innovation Lead is responsible for identifying, shaping, and driving new opportunities for the effective use of AI across the School.
The role will create structure and momentum around AI experimentation, partnering with academic, professional service, and technology teams to explore novel use cases, validate value, and guide initiatives into sustainable operational adoption.
The postholder will act as a catalyst for responsible innovation, ensuring alignment with LSE’s strategy, ethics, data governance requirements, and risk frameworks, while enabling rapid, high quality learning across the organisation.
Candidates should have: Experience establishing innovation processes, labs, or experimentation capabilities.
Experience applying AI or machine learning concepts in real world settings.
Awareness of ethical, regulatory, and data governance considerations relating to AI.
Understanding of technology strategy or enterprise architecture concepts sufficient to ensure alignment and scalability.
